Lumina Trips (luminatrips.com) is a free, independent travel concierge. We earn affiliate commissions when you book through some of the links we share — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to the seller directly. These commissions are how we keep Lumina Trips running and free to use.

How we make money

Lumina Trips participates in affiliate and referral programs, primarily through the Travelpayouts affiliate network and its partner brands. These partners include, among others, providers of flights, hotels, car rentals, airport transfers, travel eSIMs, travel insurance, and tours and activities.

When you click certain links on Lumina Trips and then complete a booking or purchase on the partner's website, the partner may pay us a commission. This commission comes out of the partner's own margin — it is not added to your price, and you are not charged any fee by us.

We never take your payment

Lumina Trips is not an online travel agency (OTA) and is not the seller or merchant of any travel product.

  • We do not collect your payment.
  • We do not process bookings on your behalf.
  • We do not hold your money.

When you decide to book, you leave Lumina Trips and complete your transaction directly on the partner or seller's own website, under their terms, conditions, prices, and privacy policies. Your booking contract is between you and that seller — not Lumina Trips. Any questions about a booking, payment, refund, change, or cancellation must be handled with the seller you booked through.

Our recommendations are made in good faith

Earning a commission does not change what we recommend.

  • We aim to surface options that genuinely fit your trip, budget, and preferences.
  • We are not paid to recommend one specific brand over another, and commission rates do not determine the order or prominence of what we show you.
  • Where we compare options (for example, fares or prices across multiple providers), we aim to present them fairly.
  • Prices, availability, and terms are set by the sellers and can change at any time. We do our best to show accurate information, but you should always confirm the final details on the seller's website before you book.

We may earn more from some partners than others. Even so, our goal is to give you useful, honest guidance — if a commissioned option is not the best one for you, we would rather tell you that.

Why we tell you this (FTC and EU transparency)

We believe you have the right to know when a link can earn us money. This disclosure is provided in the spirit of:

  • the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and disclosure of material connections, and
  • EU/EEA consumer transparency norms, including rules on identifying commercial and affiliate content (such as those reflected in the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and related consumer-protection and digital-services rules).

Wherever a link or recommendation may earn us a commission, we intend for that relationship to be clear to you.
